No Invite, No Red Carpet Walk at 2025 TGMA

Charterhouse, which runs the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), is making new rules for this year’s red carpet event. The goal is to make it more special and put the focus back on charm and order.
The event will be on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). TGMA plans to have the red carpet be more exclusive. Only stars and important people with invites can walk on the main red carpet.
Charterhouse says two red carpets will be set up this year: a general one for media talks and photos, and the main one for TV and fashion chats. Only those with invites can be on the main carpet.
These changes answer the frequent complaints from those in the music world. They often say the red carpet has been messy, with odd fashion picks and people who weren’t asked to come
