Amber Heard announces birth of twins, Agnes and Ocean, calling them the “completion” of her dream family.
Actress Amber Heard has announced the birth of twins, sharing the news on Instagram in a heartfelt post timed with Mother’s Day in the United States.
The 39-year-old star revealed she had welcomed a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean, describing herself as “elated beyond words” and grateful to finally celebrate what she called the “completion” of her family.
The announcement featured a touching image of three pairs of feet—hers and the two newborns—accompanied by a message reflecting on her journey to motherhood. Heard, who previously welcomed her first daughter, Oonagh, in 2021, wrote: “Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life.”
She added that motherhood was something she approached “responsibly and thoughtfully,” and expressed overwhelming joy at the arrival of her twins. “I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy,” she said.
Heard also paid tribute to mothers around the world in her message: “To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you.”
The actress has previously spoken about her views on parenting and the importance of challenging traditional expectations. In 2021, when announcing the birth of her first child, she shared her hope that it becomes “normalised to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”
Heard is best known for her roles in Aquaman, Zombieland, The Rum Diary, and Drive Angry. She was formerly married to actor Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2016.
Their highly publicized legal battles gained global attention, culminating in a 2022 defamation trial in Virginia, where both parties accused each other of abuse. Depp was awarded $15 million in damages, while Heard won one of her counterclaims and received $2 million.
Despite the controversies of her past, Heard’s recent post marks a new chapter in her life, one focused on family and motherhood.
