The actor also addressed the issue of Olamide not picking up his calls. Yemi Ayebo explained that he had reached out to Olamide to invite him to his movie premiere after Olamide had told him to get his number from Pasuma. However, when he called Olamide for over six months without getting a response, Yemi Ayebo wasn’t angry. He attributed this to both parties being busy, noting that he, too, often doesn’t pick calls from certain individuals.
As Yemi Ayebo stated: “I need to clarify something. I have never insulted Olamide, I never asked him for money neither did I drag him for using my name in his song. I was even happy when the song was released because it gave me a lot of recognition. Even though he didn’t pick my calls after he told me to get his number from Pasuma, I wasn’t angry because I wasn’t calling him to ask for money, I only wanted to invite him for my movie premiere then. Why should I be angry? Everybody is busy. I also don’t pick some people’s calls. People have been dragging him after I said I called for over six months and he didn’t pick. Please don’t cause a fight between us. I am a peaceful person and I am not broke.”
By speaking out and setting the record straight, Yemi Ayebo hopes to maintain a positive relationship with his fans and fellow artists, prioritizing peace and understanding in the entertainment industry.
