Chelsea recover full transfer cost
Chelsea are expected to recoup the full £45m they paid to Atletico Madrid for Felix last summer. The forward also spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan, a move that generated an additional £5m in loan fees for the club.

Despite interest from Felix’s former club Benfica, Al-Nassr emerged as the winning bidder, allowing the attacker to reunite with fellow Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo in Riyadh.

Chelsea’s summer clear-out continues
The Blues have already sold several players, including goalkeepers Djordje Petrovic and Kepa Arrizabalaga, and winger Noni Madueke, as part of a broader effort to balance the books this summer. These sales have generated approximately £130m.

More sales expected
Chelsea are reportedly open to offloading additional players, with Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Renato Veiga, and Armando Broja among those potentially leaving the club in this transfer window.

Big summer spending ongoing
Despite these outgoings, Chelsea have spent £212m so far this summer, signing striker Liam Delap, winger Jamie Gittens, and forward Joao Pedro. The club also maintains strong interest in PSV midfielder Xavi Simons and Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.

Pressure from UEFA to maintain financial balance
UEFA has placed Chelsea under financial scrutiny, requiring the club to emerge from the summer window with a positive transfer balance. Chelsea were previously fined £27m and risk further sanctions, including restrictions on registering new players for the Champions League, if they fail to meet compliance standards.
