According to her statement, Combs began exploiting her when she was just 19, controlling not only her personal life but also her career.

Testimony During Pregnancy

Ventura recalled standing before a crowded courtroom while nine months pregnant with her son. “I testified about the most traumatic and horrifying chapter in my life,” she wrote, adding that the experience was both painful and necessary for truth to be heard.

Forced Into ‘Freak Offs’

Central to Ventura’s allegations are weekly encounters she described as “freak offs.” These events, she testified, involved her being forced into sexual acts with hired male sex workers while under the influence of drugs and alcohol supplied by Combs. Dressed in lingerie and heels chosen by him, Ventura said she was reduced to a “puppet,” performing degrading acts that left her ill, exhausted, and emotionally broken.

Stripped of Dignity

The singer stated that these events became “a full-time job,” and her only way of staying in Combs’ good graces. She emphasized that the repeated abuse left her with physical infections and long-term psychological scars. She wrote that his defense team’s portrayal of their time together as a “modern love story” was “an insult to the reality of a horrific decade defined by violence, forced sex, and degradation.”

Lasting Psychological Trauma

Ventura revealed that she continues to struggle with severe mental health challenges. She suffers from nightmares, flashbacks, and ongoing anxiety that forces her to live a quiet and private life. She added that she requires ongoing psychological treatment to manage the trauma. Her fear of Combs has not diminished, she wrote, warning the court that “if he walks free, his first actions will be swift retribution towards me and others who spoke up about his abuse.”

Combs’ Conviction and Legal Team’s Request

Combs, founder of Bad Boy Records and one of the most powerful figures in the music industry for decades, was convicted earlier this year of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Despite the conviction, his legal team has requested leniency. They have filed a motion asking the judge to impose a 14-month prison sentence followed by supervised release, including mandatory drug treatment and therapy. Their argument is that sentencing guidelines for the charges of conviction typically range between six and 12 months.
