The Ghana national football team (Black Stars) have returned to Ghana after their emphatic 5–0 victory over Central African Republic national football team in the World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday.

The team touched down at Kotoka International Airport in the early hours of Thursday, October 9.

Excited members of the Ghana Supporters United were present at the airport to cheer the team on and celebrate the big win, which puts Ghana closer to securing a spot at the 2026 tournament.

Ghana dominated the match played in Morocco, scoring five unanswered goals against CAR. The victory boosted their position in the qualifiers and strengthened hopes of returning to the global stage.

The Black Stars will now shift their attention to their final qualifier against Comoros national football team scheduled for Sunday, October 12, at Accra Sports Stadium. A win would seal their qualification for the tournament.
