Doja Cat will headline Global Citizen’s Move Afrika 2026 tour in Kigali and Pretoria. The initiative aims to boost Africa’s creative economy through jobs and global touring exposure.

Grammy-winning artist Doja Cat is set to perform in South Africa for the first time after being announced as the headline act for Global Citizen’s Move Afrika 2026 tour.

The third edition of the pan-African initiative begins with Move Afrika: Kigali at BK Arena on 17 March before moving to Pretoria’s SunBet Arena on 20 March. The tour continues its mission to establish a sustainable, continent-wide touring circuit that blends global star power with local economic impact.

Doja Cat described the upcoming performances as personally significant, citing her South African heritage and emphasising the tour’s broader purpose of job creation and long-term investment in Africa’s creative industries.

Move Afrika, launched by Global Citizen, aims to position Africa at the centre of global live entertainment while driving skills development and employment opportunities in host cities. The initiative is delivered in partnership with pgLang and Kendrick Lamar.

Tickets for the Pretoria show go on general sale on 18 February via Ticketmaster, with multiple presale windows available for eligible cardholders and fan club members.
