Tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran have escalated as the conflict enters its seventh day, with new military strikes and strong political statements intensifying the situation.
US President Donald Trump said there would be “no deal” with Iran unless the country agrees to “unconditional surrender.” The statement was made in a post on social media amid growing hostilities in the region.
Meanwhile, Israel’s military announced that it carried out a major wave of air strikes inside Iran. According to Israeli officials, 50 fighter jets were deployed in an operation that targeted and destroyed a military command bunker believed to be used by senior leadership in Tehran.
Residents in Iran’s capital told BBC Persian that the previous night had been one of the most intense since the conflict began, with explosions and heavy military activity reported across parts of the city.
At the same time, Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain reported intercepting Iranian attacks overnight, raising concerns that the conflict could spread further across the region.
The United Kingdom is also responding to the crisis. The UK Foreign Office confirmed that a second chartered flight carrying stranded British nationals from Oman has taken off as part of evacuation efforts.
As the war continues into its second week, international leaders are increasingly concerned about the risk of wider regional escalation.
