The confirmation came during a recent livestream when Nasty C responded to fans who mentioned that Swae Lee had publicly expressed interest in collaborating with him.

“Yeah, they already sent it,” Nasty C said, revealing that communication between both camps had already begun.

“I knew before you guys said anything,” he added, before reassuring fans: “They’ve already sent something, you don’t worry.”

Although the rapper did not reveal what exactly had been sent or when the collaboration could be released, his comments suggest that the highly anticipated project is already moving forward behind the scenes.

The news follows Swae Lee’s recent trip to South Africa for the Hollywoodbets Durban July, where he performed at The Ascot marquee and spent several days exploring Durban.

The American rapper embraced the local culture during his visit, sharing photos and videos of himself wearing a Bafana Bafana jersey and visiting popular locations, including the uMhlanga Promenade and Lighthouse, Umlazi’s Max’s Lifestyle and The Oyster Box.

Swae Lee appeared to enjoy every moment of his stay, later describing Durban as “black excellence” and praising the city’s atmosphere and hospitality.

His visit also included an appearance on MacG’s Podcast and Chill, where he was asked which South African artists he would like to collaborate with.

Without hesitation, Swae Lee mentioned Nasty C, immediately sparking excitement among fans who flooded social media with calls for the collaboration to happen.

It now appears those wishes are becoming reality.

A collaboration with Swae Lee would be another major international milestone for Nasty C, who has spent years building a global profile while remaining one of South Africa’s biggest music exports.

The rapper has previously collaborated with international stars including A$AP Ferg, Ari Lennox and T.I, further establishing himself as a bridge between African and global hip-hop.

Swae Lee, whose real name is Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, is best known as one half of the Grammy-nominated duo Rae Sremmurd, alongside his brother Slim Jxmmi.

Outside the group, he has enjoyed major success with global hits such as Sunflower with Post Malone, Unforgettable with French Montana and Rae Sremmurd’s smash hit Black Beatles.

While fans may have to wait a little longer for an official announcement, one thing is now certain: a Nasty C and Swae Lee collaboration is no longer just a dream—it’s happening.
