South African power couple DJ Zinhle and Mörda are celebrating a major life milestone after officially beginning construction on what they describe as their dream retirement home.
The award-winning DJ and entrepreneur, whose real name is Zinhle Jiyane, shared the exciting news with her Instagram followers by posting a video of herself and her husband, Bongani “Mörda” Mohosana, visiting the construction site.
The video shows the couple standing on their property, where the concrete foundation has already been laid, as they discuss plans for their future home.
“Building our retirement home,” Zinhle captioned the post, before affectionately adding, “Hey @murdahbongz .”
The announcement quickly attracted thousands of reactions, with fans, friends and fellow celebrities congratulating the couple on another significant achievement.
Media personality Somizi Mhlongo commented: “Haibo that’s amazing news. Can’t wait to visit .”
Another follower, @glamthang, wrote: “So proud of you.”
Meanwhile, @maria.manala described the project as “beautiful and inspirational.”
Businesswoman and media personality Rosetta Masipa also praised Zinhle’s vision and planning skills.
“If there’s one person with great planning and execution skills it’s you, bestie. I love that you are also in such a complementary love partnership,” she wrote.
The couple’s latest venture reflects the long-term planning and teamwork that have become defining features of both their relationship and business success.
Zinhle and Mörda officially tied the knot in a private customary marriage ceremony in March 2022. The DJ later confirmed their marriage during the second season of her reality television series, DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected, revealing that both families had successfully completed traditional marriage negotiations.
Beyond their successful careers in music and entertainment, family remains at the centre of their lives.
The couple share a daughter, Asante Mohosana, who was born in September 2021.
Zinhle is also mother to Kairo Forbes, whom she shares with the late rapper AKA, while Mörda has a son from a previous relationship, whom he has largely kept away from the public spotlight.
Their new retirement home is another symbol of the life they continue to build together.
