Just when it seemed the internet’s obsession with Netflix’s “The Polygamist” was beginning to slow down, another celebrity has joined the conversation.

This time, it’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss, who shared her own take on the hit series and its infamous character, Jonasi Gomora.

Since its release, the Netflix telenovela has captivated audiences around the world, sparking discussions about relationships, betrayal and the warning signs people often ignore in love.

Several celebrities, including Taraji P. Henson, Sherri Shepherd, Davido and Joe Jonas, have already weighed in on the series.

Now Burruss has also had her “Jonasi moment.”

The reality star shared an edited image of herself standing next to Jonasi Gomora, played by actor Sdumo Mtshali, accompanied by a caption that quickly caught fans’ attention.

“POV: You see the red flags… Do you stay or do you keep walking? 🚩😂 Me? I Do. I Did. I’m Done. 💍,” she wrote.

The post resonated with many fans, particularly because of Burruss’s recent personal experiences.

The singer, entrepreneur and television personality recently went through a highly publicised divorce from her husband, Todd Tucker, after more than a decade of marriage.

The pair tied the knot in 2014 and share two children together.

Burruss has previously spoken about the breakdown of their marriage, revealing that an incident involving alleged infidelity became the turning point that made her realise she could no longer continue the relationship.

She has also said that a lack of accountability afterwards played a significant role in her decision to end the marriage.

Her latest social media post also connects closely to her one-woman stage production, “I Do. I Did. I’m Done,” where she uses music and storytelling to reflect on love, heartbreak and rebuilding after divorce.

For many fans, the Jonasi comparison felt almost too fitting.

One of the biggest lessons viewers have taken from “The Polygamist” is that relationship red flags often appear long before people are willing to acknowledge them.

The series has become a cultural phenomenon, with memes and online discussions continuing weeks after its release.

The character of Jonasi Gomora, in particular, has become an internet symbol for questionable relationship choices and warning signs that many people choose to ignore.

Judging by the reaction online, the Jonasi memes are not disappearing anytime soon.

Instead, they have become the internet’s favourite way of telling friends to pay attention to the red flags before it’s too late.
