Rihanna has shared a rare glimpse of family life after taking her three children to the Barbados neighbourhood where she grew up.
A special return to Westbury
The 38-year-old singer and Fenty Beauty founder visited the street formerly known as Westbury New Road with her children, sons RZA, four, and Riot, three, and daughter Rocki Irish, who turns one next month.
The street was renamed Rihanna Drive in her honour in 2017, marking the global star’s journey from her childhood neighbourhood to international fame.
Family moment captured
Photos and videos shared by Rihanna show her posing with her children beside the Rihanna Drive sign. In one image, she holds Rocki while keeping close to her two sons.

Reflecting on the emotional significance of the visit, Rihanna wrote that she sometimes still feels like “that kid from Westbury” before finding herself bringing her own children back to Rihanna Drive.
Family celebration in Barbados
The visit comes during a busy period for Rihanna in her home country.
She attended Barbados’ Grand Kadooment Day parade on August 4, while the family also recently celebrated Riot’s third birthday with a Spider-Man-themed party.
Riot continued the superhero theme during the family outing, wearing a Spider-Man T-shirt and matching shoes.
A glimpse of motherhood
The photographs offered fans a more personal view of Rihanna as a mother of three.
Rocki remained close to her mother, while RZA and Riot joined in the family photos. The relaxed outing provided a contrast to Rihanna’s usual appearances at major entertainment, fashion and business events.

The family outing comes shortly after A$AP Rocky discussed parenthood during an appearance on The Jason Lee Show.
The rapper spoke about the support he and Rihanna receive from their mothers and nannies while managing their demanding careers.
He also highlighted the importance of being present for their children and ensuring they are cared for when either parent is away.
Rihanna’s lasting connection to Barbados
Despite becoming one of the world’s biggest entertainers and entrepreneurs, Rihanna has maintained a strong connection to Barbados.
The renaming of her childhood street in 2017 recognised her achievements and connection to the community where she was raised.
In 2021, Barbados further honoured her by naming her a National Hero.
Her latest visit brought that journey full circle, as Rihanna returned to the neighbourhood where her story began with children of her own.
