Tyla’s Johannesburg show moves to SunBet Arena

South African singer Tyla’s Johannesburg stop on her A*POP World Tour has been moved from the Expo Centre in Nasrec to SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria. The concert will still take place on Saturday, January 9, 2027. Organisers said the indoor venue will support the production requirements of the show while also giving fans additional seated options.

Existing Tickets Remain Valid

Fans who already purchased tickets have been reassured that their bookings remain secure and that they do not need to buy new tickets. Existing Howler bookings will automatically be transferred to Ticketmaster South Africa at no additional cost.

Ticket Categories Converted

Golden Circle ticket holders will be moved to the equivalent Front-Zone Standing category, while General Admission ticket holders will remain in General Admission. The changes are intended to match the original ticket categories as closely as possible at the new venue.

New Digital Tickets Coming

Ticketmaster South Africa will issue replacement digital tickets by email within 72 hours. Fans must use the same email address linked to their original Howler booking when accessing their new tickets. The replacement tickets will take the place of the original Howler tickets, which will no longer be accepted for entry.

Seated Options Available

Fans who would prefer to attend the concert from a seated section can request a transfer through Ticketmaster Help. Requests must be submitted before 3pm on Monday, September 28, 2026. Seated transfers will be made to an equivalent-priced category at no additional cost, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cape Town Show Unchanged

Tyla’s Cape Town concert on January 4, 2027, at Green Point Track remains unaffected by the Johannesburg venue change. Tickets for the Cape Town show will continue to be managed through Howler.

A*POP World Tour

Tyla announced her 34-date APOP World Tour in July following the release of her second studio album, APOP. The global tour includes performances across Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Africa. It began in Paris on October 12 and includes stops in cities such as Amsterdam, London, Brussels, Stockholm, Vancouver, Chicago and Las Vegas.

Tyla Returns Home

The South African shows will form part of the final stage of the international tour. Tyla is scheduled to perform in Lagos on December 22, Cape Town on January 4 and Johannesburg on January 9, bringing the tour back to her home country.

Fans Prepare for Homecoming

The Johannesburg concert will mark one of the major homecoming performances on Tyla’s first full headline tour across multiple continents. The venue change gives fans a different concert setup while keeping the original date and ticket arrangements largely intact.
