Travis Barker Reveals Text That Sparked Romance With Kourtney Kardashian

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has revealed the surprising text message from Kourtney Kardashian that turned their long-standing friendship into a romantic relationship in 2021.

Speaking to The Times, Barker recalled being stunned when Kardashian sent him a message suggesting she wanted to explore a romantic connection. He said he had to check his phone several times because he could hardly believe what he was reading. “[She sent me] something crazy … I was like: ‘What?’ I had to look at my phone four times. The revelations came after Barker disclosed that he had undergone surgery to address numbness in his arm, hand and fingers. He said the symptoms began after a performance in September. The drummer shared a photograph of Kardashian smiling beside him as he recovered in a hospital bed wearing a blue gown and surgical cap. Barker explained that a nerve test following a show revealed that he needed a cubital tunnel release procedure. “I had surgery yesterday. My arm, hand and fingers have been numb since a show I played last month,” he wrote.
