According to the court documents, the DNA tests are to be conducted in an accredited and recognized hospital, both in Nigeria and abroad, at the expense of the applicant, Joseph Aloba. The court also directed that both parties or their representatives be present when the sample is taken.

The case has been adjourned to November 11, 2025, for further proceedings. The court’s decision aims to conclusively settle the uncertainty regarding Liam Aloba’s paternity, which is crucial in determining his mother’s maintenance obligations and the child’s welfare.

The late singer’s wife, Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, was listed as the respondent in the application. The court’s order was granted without opposition from the respondent’s counsel.
