Nairobi, Kenya – In a shocking turn of events, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has died at the age of 80. According to reports from India, Odinga suffered a cardiac arrest during a morning walk in Kochi, India.

He was rushed to Devamatha Hospital in Koothattukulam, where he was pronounced dead. Odinga had traveled to India with his daughter, Rosemary Odinga, who was receiving Ayurvedic treatment at Sreedhareeyam Hospital. The facility had previously helped her regain partial eyesight.

Biography of Raila Odinga
Raila Amolo Odinga was born on January 7, 1945, in Maseno, Kenya. He was a Kenyan politician who served as the Prime Minister of Kenya from 2008 to 2013. Odinga was a key figure in Kenya’s struggle for democracy and human rights. He was a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and had run for the presidency in 2007, 2013, and 2017.
Odinga was the son of former Kenyan Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga. He studied engineering at the University of Magdeburg in East Germany and later pursued a master’s degree in politics from the University of Nairobi.
