Ibrahim Traoré is a Burkinabé military officer and politician who has served as the interim President of Burkina Faso since 2022. Born on March 14, 1988, in Kéra, Bondokuy, Mouhoun Province, Traoré studied geology at the University of Ouagadougou. He joined the Army of Burkina Faso in 2009 and graduated from the Georges-Namoano Military Academy.

He was part of the Association of Muslim Students and the Marxist National Association of Students of Burkina Faso.
