The weekend kicks off on Friday, 21 November, with five intimate masterclasses held at distinct local venues. Each session introduces participants to unique themes: Jewels of the East at Darling Brew showcases Indian and Japanese whiskies; Introduction to Whisky at the 1910 Old Forge offers a beginner’s guide; Classic vs Peated at Lulas, Yzerfontein explores smoky contrasts; Invasion of the Irish Whiskey at Living Colour Smokehouse highlights Ireland’s finest; and Metanoia Distillery at Weskus Padstal presents the rise of local craft whisky. Tickets for masterclasses start from R150, allowing attendees to deepen their knowledge while engaging with experts in an intimate setting.
The Main Event
The highlight of the festival takes place on Saturday, 22 November. The main event offers unlimited whisky tastings (excluding the exclusive DRAM Table) alongside live entertainment, prizes, and opportunities to purchase rare bottles. The DRAM Table will feature limited-edition whiskies served by the shot an unmissable experience for collectors and serious enthusiasts. Shuttle services from noon make travel easy and safe for all attendees. With ticket options ranging from early bird to general admission, there’s an experience suited for every budget.
A Relaxed Whisky Brunch
The weekend concludes with a whisky brunch on Sunday, 23 November, hosted at Darling Brew’s Tasting Room. The brunch captures the relaxed, community-centered spirit of the entire weekend. It’s an event that beautifully combines West Coast hospitality with the warmth of whisky culture.
