Kwaw Kese

Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has announced that he will refund all donations raised through a GoFundMe campaign he created for fellow artiste Kwesi Arthur.

Kwaw had created the fundraiser after Kwesi Arthur posted on social media that his former management was demanding $150,000 from him for the use of his own images. Believing that he could rally support for the artiste, Kwaw created the fundraiser to help raise funds to pay off the alleged debt to Ground Up Chale.

However, Kwesi Arthur has since distanced himself from the fundraiser, posting on social media that he did not know anything about the fundraiser and asking people to ignore it.

In response to the criticism, Kwaw Kese has explained that he meant well and would never have used the donations for his own purposes. He said that the fundraiser was solely for the purpose of helping Kwesi Arthur regain full control of his brand and career.

According to Kwaw, the fundraiser had only managed to raise $170. With criticism mounting and a deadline for withdrawal set by GoFundMe, Kwaw has decided to allow the platform to refund the donations to all contributors.
