PUMA

Global sports brand PUMA has unveiled new football kits for 11 national teams, including several top African sides, in a vibrant culture-driven event in New York City.

The launch, held at Domino Square on March 19, brought together football, music, food, and community in a unique street-style showcase, moving away from traditional stadium or studio reveals.

The new kits were first worn by local community players representing each nation, highlighting PUMA’s focus on connecting directly with fans at grassroots level.

The 11 nations include Portugal, Morocco, Ghana, Paraguay, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Switzerland, New Zealand, Austria, and Egypt — spanning four continents. Notably, PUMA leads with the most prominent African representation, featuring teams like Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, and Egypt.

Football icons such as Asamoah Gyan, El Hadji Diouf, and Ricardo Quaresma were present, bridging generations of the game.

The event also featured live performances, including one by Black Sherif, alongside appearances from digital creators and cultural influencers.

PUMA says the new collection blends performance innovation with cultural identity, using technologies like ULTRAWEAVE and dryCELL fabrics, while also incorporating sustainability through its RE:FIBRE initiative.

With up to 11 nations set to wear PUMA kits at this summer’s major international tournament, the brand is reinforcing its position as a major force in global football.
