Grammy-winning British singer Ella Mai has arrived in South Africa, building excitement ahead of her highly anticipated live performances this weekend.
The R&B star, best known for her global hit “Boo’d Up,” is set to perform at the Sun City Superbowl during the Konka Kulture Weekend on April 25, followed by a second show at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on April 26.
Event organisers Vertex Events SA shared footage of her arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport, where she appeared relaxed as she made her way through the terminal alongside her team.
Fans can expect performances of some of her biggest hits, including “Boo’d Up” and “Trip,” as well as music from her latest project Do You Still Love Me? (DYSLM), which features tracks like “Things” and “Tell Her.”
Since her breakthrough in 2014, Ella Mai has built a strong international following with her smooth vocals and emotionally driven songwriting. Her hit single “Boo’d Up” earned her a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song in 2019, cementing her place as a leading voice in modern R&B.
The upcoming concerts are expected to draw large crowds, with fans eager to experience her live performances in an intimate setting.
She will also share the stage with top South African acts, including Sjava, Nasty C, Zee Nxumalo, Uncle Waffles, Oscar Mbo, and Scorpion Kings.
