KiDi leaves Lynx Entertainment, begins independent career with continued musical success

Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats star KiDi has officially confirmed his exit from Lynx Entertainment, bringing an end to a successful partnership that played a major role in shaping his music career.

The singer made the revelation during a TikTok Live session with content creator Code Micky, where he responded to questions about his current relationship with the record label. Asked whether he was still signed to Lynx Entertainment, KiDi replied, “No, I am no longer with Lynx.”

According to the award-winning artiste, he is now operating independently, marking a fresh chapter in his musical journey. He disclosed that the transition away from the label began around the release of Gymnastic, his collaboration with Olivetheboy and Kojo Blak.

KiDi joined Lynx Entertainment in 2016 after emerging winner of the 2015 MTN Hitmaker competition. During his time with the label, he established himself as one of Ghana’s leading contemporary musicians with hit songs such as Say You Love Me, Enjoyment and the internationally acclaimed Touch It. His albums Sugar and The Golden Boy further strengthened his reputation both locally and internationally.

Despite going solo, KiDi has remained highly active on the music scene. His latest single, Signature, featuring Lasmid, continues to enjoy strong airplay and streaming numbers.

Known for his smooth vocals, songwriting ability and crossover appeal, KiDi has built a loyal fan base across Africa and beyond, collaborating with several international acts while contributing to the growing global influence of Afrobeats.
