Britain’s King Charles III has reportedly extended an olive branch to Prince Harry by offering accommodation at a royal residence during the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming visit to the United Kingdom.
According to reports, the King has invited Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to stay at a royal property while they are in Britain between July 6 and July 10.
The visit is expected to focus on Prince Harry’s charitable work, including an event marking one year until the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
If Meghan and the children accompany Harry, it would be the first time Archie and Lilibet have visited the UK in four years, making the trip particularly significant for the royal family.
The reported gesture comes amid years of strained relations between Prince Harry and the Royal Family following his decision to step back from royal duties and relocate to California with Meghan in 2020.
Security arrangements remain a major concern for the Duke of Sussex. Harry has previously argued that he cannot safely bring his family to the United Kingdom without adequate protection and recently lost a legal challenge regarding taxpayer-funded police security during visits to Britain.
The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry in 2014, remain one of his most prominent charitable initiatives and are expected to be the main focus of his upcoming trip.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have publicly commented on the reported offer.
