Hollywoodbets Durban July 2026: Jessica Nkosi, Moozlie and Zozibini Tunzi Turn Heads with Stunning Fashion
South Africa’s biggest names in entertainment and fashion dazzled on the red carpet at the Hollywoodbets Durban July 2026, embracing this year’s “Country Allure” theme with bold, creative and elegant designs that once again transformed the country’s premier horse-racing event into a celebration of style.
From couture masterpieces to artistic interpretations, celebrities showcased their unique visions of the annual theme, proving why the Hollywoodbets Durban July remains one of Africa’s most anticipated fashion spectacles.
Among the standout stars was actress Jessica Nkosi, who captivated onlookers in a custom-designed creation by Ruberto Scholtz. Inspired by the racecourse and the elegance of horses, her dramatic outfit transformed her into the centrepiece of the day’s fashion parade.
Nkosi explained that the design was intended to celebrate the spirit of horse racing while delivering a bold interpretation of the “Country Allure” theme. She also praised the event for continually inspiring guests to push creative boundaries with their fashion choices.
According to the actress, the Hollywoodbets Durban July has become more than just a fashion showcase, bringing together people from across the worlds of entertainment, music, sport, design and business in one vibrant celebration of South African culture.
Media personality and rapper Nomuzi Mabena, popularly known as Moozlie, surprised fans by abandoning her signature cowboy hat, which she has frequently worn over the past year.
Instead, she opted for a colourful and artistic ensemble that offered a fresh and playful interpretation of the theme. Moozlie said she deliberately chose a different direction because many people expected her to once again incorporate a cowboy hat into her outfit.
She added that the Durban July has evolved beyond fashion into one of South Africa’s biggest entertainment platforms, bringing together music, advertising, nightlife and popular culture while boosting the country’s creative industries.
Away from the event, Moozlie also shared her excitement about her new radio programme on Metro FM, describing it as a platform that celebrates contemporary culture and entertainment.
Actress Linda Mtoba also impressed fashion enthusiasts in a custom couture gown created by award-winning designer Orapeleng Modutle in collaboration with Don Julio. She completed the sophisticated look with a statement hat by Anita Ferreira Designs and luxury accessories from Jimmy Choo.
Meanwhile, former Zozibini Tunzi embraced vibrant colour in a striking red creation by Imprint ZA designer Mzukisi Mbane. The outfit formed part of the designer’s “Purple Allure” collaboration with Colgate, blending contemporary fashion with artistic storytelling and cultural expression.
From dramatic horse-inspired couture to colourful artistic statements and timeless elegance, celebrities interpreted the “Country Allure” theme in diverse and imaginative ways, ensuring another unforgettable edition of the Hollywoodbets Durban July.
As always, the iconic event successfully combined horse racing, fashion, music and entertainment, reinforcing its status as one of South Africa’s premier social and cultural occasions while providing designers and celebrities with one of the country’s biggest stages to showcase creativity.
