Rising South African music producer Ntsako XVI is stepping into what he calls his “Nyakanyaka” era following the viral success of his latest single, Ngeke.

The producer revealed that the overwhelming response to the song took him by surprise, especially after it generated more than 80,000 creations on TikTok.

“Seeing more than 80,000 TikTok creations around ‘Ngeke’ was something that we never anticipated,” he said.

“The response was unexpected.”

“Ngeke” features an impressive lineup of artists, including Shaun 101, Ch’cco, Scotts Maphuma and Uncool_MC.

“It describes my style of production, my background and creating a lane for myself.”
