Anele Zondo, Fresh By Caddy and Munaka Join SAMA32 Hosting Line-Up
The 32nd South African Music Awards (SAMA32) has announced a star-studded hosting line-up, with Anele Zondo set to host the Industry Awards while Fresh By Caddy and Munaka Muthambi will lead the official red carpet coverage.
The annual music celebration, sponsored by the Motsepe Foundation, is set to take place at Sun City Resort in the North West Province on August 15, bringing together some of South Africa’s biggest names in music and entertainment.
Multi-talented entertainer Anele Zondo will take centre stage at the Industry Awards, which recognise the professionals working behind the scenes to shape South Africa’s music industry.
Fresh By Caddy and Munaka Muthambi, meanwhile, will host the official SAMA32 red carpet, where they will cover celebrity arrivals, fashion highlights and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments ahead of the main ceremony.
SAMA spokesperson Unathi Gwija said the hosts were selected because of the experience, energy and professionalism they bring to the entertainment industry.
Gwija praised Zondo’s charisma and stage presence, saying she was well suited to lead an event celebrating producers, directors, engineers and other professionals whose work often happens away from the spotlight.
He also said Fresh By Caddy and Munaka had established themselves as engaging entertainment personalities capable of capturing the excitement of the red carpet while reflecting this year’s SAMA32 theme, “The Future Sounds Like Now Now.”
For Zondo, hosting the Industry Awards marks another major milestone in a career that has included music, television and entertainment.
She described the opportunity as an honour and said the Industry Awards were important because they shine a light on the creative professionals responsible for shaping the country’s music industry.
Zondo said she was proud to be part of an event celebrating the producers, directors, engineers and other creative minds who dedicate themselves to their craft without always receiving public recognition.
Fresh By Caddy also expressed excitement about hosting the SAMA32 red carpet. He described the South African Music Awards as a celebration of the country’s creativity, diversity and musical excellence.
He said he was looking forward to celebrating local artists while bringing his own personality and energy to the red carpet experience.
For Munaka Muthambi, the opportunity carries a personal significance. She described becoming part of the SAMAs as a “full-circle moment,” saying she grew up watching the prestigious awards before eventually getting the chance to participate in the event.
Organisers said SAMA32 continues to play an important role in promoting the North West Province as a cultural, tourism and entertainment destination.
The annual awards ceremony also contributes to economic activity in the province by attracting artists, industry professionals, media and entertainment audiences from across South Africa.
