Families face shortages of water and food in Deir al-Balah
Hundreds of displaced Palestinians sheltering in Deir al-Balah are struggling to access basic necessities, including clean water and food.
Nasser Ghabin, who was displaced from the area, said his family receives water only once a day and that he lacks enough storage space to keep an adequate supply.
Families living in tents
Adeeb al-Nimir, who fled Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, said he lives in a single tent with 15 members of his family.
He described the difficulties of collecting water, saying many displaced people are exhausted by prolonged life in temporary shelters.
Food shortages worsen
Displaced Palestinians also reported growing shortages of food and a decline in the number of charity kitchens providing meals.
Dalia Khriwat said she was preparing fried eggplants for her eight children outside their tent because food assistance has become increasingly limited.
She said many families want meat or chicken but cannot access them.
Humanitarian needs remain high
The shortages are adding to the hardship faced by Palestinians who have been displaced by the conflict.
With families struggling to secure water, food and adequate shelter, humanitarian needs remain severe across Gaza.
