Fernandes Returns as Under-Pressure Man Utd Face Chelsea

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has returned to the starting line-up as the club travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the opening match of Saturday’s Premier League programme.

Fernandes’ return comes at a challenging time for United, with manager Michael Carrick under pressure to turn around the team’s recent performances.

The midfielder was restored to the starting XI after being left out of the side for last weekend’s defeat. His return is an important boost for United as they seek to improve their results and secure points against Chelsea.

The encounter is the first of eight Premier League fixtures scheduled for Saturday, October 31, with both sides looking to strengthen their position in the competition.

Manchester City will also face Brighton in one of five matches scheduled for 15:00 GMT.

Later in the day, Tottenham Hotspur will host Crystal Palace at 17:30 GMT, before Aston Villa take on Fulham in the final scheduled match at 20:00 GMT.

Attention will be firmly on Stamford Bridge as United look to respond under Carrick, while Chelsea aim to make the most of their home advantage.
