Mathew Knowles reveals unreleased music from iconic girl group’s vault
Destiny’s Child fans could soon have new music to celebrate as Beyoncé’s father and former group manager Mathew Knowles confirms that a collection of unreleased remixes is on the way.
More than two decades after the group released their final studio album, Knowles revealed that new Destiny’s Child material is expected to arrive within the next month.
Speaking during an interview on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Knowles said the upcoming project will feature songs that fans have never heard before.
Unreleased remixes and new collaborations
According to Knowles, the collection will include different styles of remixes, including dance versions, urban mixes and tracks featuring guest rappers.
He explained that Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams remain at the centre of the project, with the new versions highlighting the group’s original sound.
“We have a number of remixes that have never been released, and we’ll be putting those out soon,” Knowles said.
He also hinted that the project could arrive within 30 days, adding that the group still has a large amount of unreleased material.
Missy Elliott collaboration sparks excitement
During the interview, Knowles accidentally revealed one of the featured artists before quickly stopping himself.
“Missy Elliott … she’s on one of them,” he said before cutting himself short.
The mention of the legendary rapper immediately excited fans, with many looking forward to hearing the collaboration.
The announcement has created a wave of reactions online, as longtime supporters expressed excitement about finally hearing music that has remained hidden in the Destiny’s Child archives.
Celebrating a legendary era
The news comes shortly after Destiny’s Child celebrated the anniversary of their 1999 album The Writing’s on the Wall.
The record became one of the group’s biggest successes, producing iconic hits such as Bills, Bills, Bills, Say My Name and Jumpin’, Jumpin’.
The album helped establish Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams as one of the most successful girl groups in music history.
Destiny’s Child legacy continues
Destiny’s Child first emerged in the late 1990s with Beyoncé, Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson before later becoming a trio following lineup changes.
The group went on to release successful albums including Survivor and Destiny Fulfilled before announcing their split in 2005 to focus on solo careers.
Since then, Beyoncé has become a global superstar, Rowland has expanded into music, television and film, while Williams has built a successful career in gospel, theatre and television.
Although the trio have reunited for special performances, including Beyoncé’s Coachella appearance in 2018 and the final show of her Cowboy Carter World Tour in 2025, they have not released new music together since their separation.
The upcoming remix collection could mark another exciting chapter for one of music’s most influential groups.
