Trump Warns of Possible Military Action as Iran Talks Face Deadline Pressure

Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated after US President Donald Trump warned that military action could be imminent if ongoing negotiations fail.

Speaking in an interview, Trump said he “expects to be bombing” if no progress is made in talks with Iran, as a ceasefire deadline approaches.

The current ceasefire is set to expire on Wednesday, and Trump has indicated he does not intend to extend it, placing added urgency on diplomatic efforts.

Meanwhile, Iran’s parliamentary leadership has signaled readiness for escalation, stating that Tehran is preparing “new cards on the battlefield” should hostilities resume.

Reports also suggest US Vice-President JD Vance is expected to travel to Pakistan for potential talks, although Iran has yet to confirm whether it will participate in negotiations there.

In a separate development, the Pentagon confirmed that US forces boarded a sanctioned tanker in the Indo-Pacific region without incident, describing the move as part of efforts to disrupt networks supporting Iran.

As political and military tensions rise, civilians in Iran continue to cope with the uncertainty of daily life, with many expressing the emotional toll of prolonged conflict.
