Egypt has expressed readiness to host diplomatic talks aimed at reducing tensions in the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
Speaking in Cairo, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Egypt is actively working to mediate between Iran and the US, alongside regional partners such as Pakistan and Turkey. He stressed the urgency of dialogue, warning that the window for negotiation may be closing.
Abdelatty emphasized that any resolution should benefit all sides, calling for a “win-win” outcome rather than a confrontational approach. He also encouraged direct engagement between US and Iranian representatives to prevent further escalation.
While Iran has reportedly rejected an initial ceasefire proposal linked to former US President Donald Trump, there are indications that discussions could still take place. Reports suggest a possible meeting between officials from both sides may be held soon.
Egypt has voiced support for diplomatic efforts and continues to position itself as a key mediator in the crisis, offering its territory as neutral ground for negotiations.
