A nursery worker in Bristol, United Kingdom, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually abusing young children at a daycare centre.
Nathan Bennett, 30, was convicted of multiple offences against five boys aged two and three at Partou King Street Nursery. The crimes included two counts of rape and several other sexual offences.
During sentencing, Judge William Hart described Bennett as an “evil” and dangerous offender who deliberately targeted vulnerable children.
The abuse came to light after concerns were raised about Bennett’s behaviour with a group of children he appeared to favour. CCTV footage later showed him committing offences, prompting the nursery to report the case to authorities and notify Avon and Somerset Police.
Following a six-month investigation, Bennett was charged and convicted. Regulators later closed the nursery after the case came to light.
Parents of the victims told the court the crimes had devastated their families and left lasting emotional trauma.
