Prince William and Princess Catherine have celebrated 15 years of marriage by sharing a relaxed and heartfelt family photograph, giving royal fans a rare glimpse into their private life.

To mark their crystal anniversary, the Prince and Princess of Wales released a never-before-seen image captured by photographer Matt Porteous during a family Easter holiday in Cornwall. The couple posted the photo on Instagram with a simple caption reading: “Celebrating 15 years of marriage.”

The image shows a warm, informal moment between the family. Catherine is pictured at the centre wearing a striped top and white jeans, sitting on the grass with Prince Louis playfully resting his legs across her. Prince William sits beside them in a polo shirt and shorts, smiling towards Prince George, while Princess Charlotte relaxes at the other end of the group. Their dogs, including Orla the cocker spaniel and a younger puppy, also appear in the family scene.

The photograph reflects the modern and grounded image the couple has increasingly embraced in recent years, balancing royal duty with a more relatable family presence in the public eye.

William and Catherine’s relationship began more than two decades ago when they met as students at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in 2001. Their friendship developed into a romance by 2003, eventually leading to their engagement in 2010 and their wedding on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey.

Over the past 15 years, the couple have welcomed three children: Prince George in 2013, Princess Charlotte in 2015, and Prince Louis in 2018. Their roles within the monarchy have also evolved significantly, particularly following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, when they became the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The anniversary post comes after a period of personal challenges for the royal family. Catherine’s health journey over the past year drew significant public attention, with the Princess later confirming she is now in remission. Prince William has previously described the period as one of the most difficult times for the family.

Despite this, the couple have continued their public duties while maintaining a focus on stability and family life. Their recent move to Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park is seen as part of a quieter, more settled chapter for the family.

The anniversary image has been widely shared by royal supporters, who praised the couple for its simplicity and warmth. It continues a trend of more personal, candid updates from the Wales family as they balance tradition with a more modern public presence.
