Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has dismissed reports claiming that she has died, assuring fans and followers that she is alive, healthy and safe.
The actress addressed the rumours on Sunday through her Instagram page after reports of her alleged death circulated on social media.
Kadiri specifically denied claims that she had been involved in an accident, describing the reports as false and urging the public not to believe or share unverified information about her.
“Please note that I am alive. I did not have any accident, and I am safe. I am alive and healthy,” she said.
The actress also called on her followers to report social media accounts responsible for spreading the false reports, in an effort to prevent the misinformation from reaching a wider audience.
Death rumours involving public figures frequently spread across social media, sometimes gaining significant attention before being independently verified. Such reports can cause distress to families, colleagues and fans while also contributing to the wider problem of misinformation online.
Kadiri’s clarification is intended to put the speculation to rest and reassure her audience that she is well.
The actress remains active in Nollywood as both a performer and filmmaker, with a significant following across social media platforms.
