South African media personality marks traditional marriage milestone in Newcastle
Durban-born socialite and media personality Sithelo Shozi has celebrated her lobola ceremony in style, marking another major milestone in her relationship with Zimbabwean businessman Kudzaishe James Magura.
The celebration took place in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, with videos from the event circulating widely on social media. Shozi appeared dressed in several elegant outfits as she celebrated the occasion with family and loved ones.
The media personality, who is also known for her appearance as a detective on The Masked Singer SA, appeared to embrace the traditional celebration in grand fashion.
Multiple looks for the celebration
Videos shared online showed Shozi wearing three different outfits during the lobola festivities.
One of the outfits, a figure-hugging dress, caught particular attention from social media users, with some followers speculating about whether she could be expecting another child.
However, Shozi has not publicly confirmed any pregnancy rumours surrounding the celebration.
The focus of the event remained on her lobola and her new chapter with Magura.
Engaged to Kudzaishe Magura
Shozi is engaged to Kudzaishe James Magura, a Zimbabwean businessman based in South Africa.
Magura proposed to Shozi during a lavish holiday in Italy in April, beginning a new chapter in their relationship.
The couple have since kept much of their relationship relatively private, although the lobola celebration has now attracted significant attention online.
Fans have flooded social media with congratulatory messages as Shozi marks the traditional marriage process.
Shozi’s growing family
The celebration also comes as Shozi continues to focus on raising her children and building her family.
She is a mother of three children. She has a son, Makhosini Maseko, popularly known as Lord Phil, from a previous relationship, as well as two daughters with businessman Andile Mpisane.
In a previous interview with the Sunday Tribune, Shozi spoke positively about her personal life following her engagement.
She said things were going well personally and explained that she was focusing on raising her children now that she had her own family.
Shozi also expressed happiness about her engagement and the direction her personal life was taking.
Fans celebrate the new chapter
Although Shozi has not yet shared official photographs from the lobola ceremony on her social media pages, she appeared to acknowledge the occasion through her Instagram Stories.
In one post, she described herself as being tired, comparing the experience to getting married.
The traditional celebration has nevertheless given fans a glimpse into the important milestone.
With congratulations continuing to pour in, Shozi and Magura are entering a new stage of their relationship as they build their future together.
