A supercomputer has predicted Croatia to defeat Ghana in their crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 Group L clash as both sides prepare for their first-ever meeting at Lincoln Financial Field.
Although Ghana have already secured qualification for the Round of 32, Croatia still need a positive result to strengthen their chances of reaching the knockout stage. The Black Stars currently sit one point ahead of the 2018 World Cup finalists in the group standings.
According to Opta’s supercomputer, which ran 25,000 pre-match simulations, Croatia emerged as favourites, winning 56.3% of the simulated matches. Ghana were given a 17.6% chance of victory, while a draw was rated at 26.2%.
Croatia also boast an impressive World Cup record against lower-ranked teams, having never lost to a nation ranked 40th or below. They are also unbeaten in four previous World Cup matches against African opposition, winning three and conceding just once.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian clergyman Mystical Prophet Sikapa has predicted a 1-0 victory for the Black Stars but said the match could also end in a goalless draw if his prediction does not come to pass.
