Tyla adds second Gauteng date for A*POP World Tour

Following strong ticket demand, Tyla has added a second Gauteng concert to her A*POP World Tour. She will perform at SunBet Arena in Pretoria on Friday, January 8, 2027, ahead of her previously announced show on Saturday, January 9. Ticketmaster currently lists both Pretoria dates for 8pm.

Johannesburg show moves to Pretoria

The January 9 concert has also moved from the Nasrec Outdoor Area in Johannesburg to SunBet Arena in Pretoria. Organisers said the change followed concerns about possible Highveld thunderstorms, audience experience and requests from fans for a seated concert option. Both Gauteng concerts will now take place at SunBet Arena.

Tygers asked, Tyla listened

Tyla’s South African fans, known as Tygers, had been calling for an additional Gauteng date. The new concert gives fans another opportunity to see the singer perform on home soil during her first full headline tour.

Tyla previously performed to a sold-out crowd at SunBet Arena in 2025. Her return will feature music from her second studio album, A*POP, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard US World Albums chart and No. 3 on the UK R&B Albums chart.

Tickets and existing bookings

Tickets for both Pretoria dates are available exclusively through Ticketmaster, with seating tickets starting at R895 before service fees. Ticketmaster confirms the January 8 and January 9 concerts at SunBet Arena Time Square.

Fans who already purchased tickets for the January 9 show do not need to buy new tickets. Existing tickets have been transferred to the Pretoria venue in the same ticket category. Organisers said Howler has been communicating directly with existing ticket holders about replacement tickets, refunds and related arrangements.

A*POP World Tour comes home

The 34-date A*POP World Tour is taking Tyla across Europe, the UK and North America before her South African homecoming. Her continental schedule includes three concerts in South Africa.

She will begin the South African leg at Green Point Track in Cape Town on Monday, January 4, 2027, before heading to Pretoria for concerts on January 8 and 9.

Three South African concerts

Cape Town tickets are available through the tour’s Howler platform, while both Pretoria dates are being sold through Ticketmaster. The additional Gauteng date gives fans two consecutive nights to experience Tyla’s A*POP era live.
