Vusi Nova Takes ‘Naninina’ Anniversary Tour Across South Africa

South African singer Vusi Nova is marking a decade of musical success with a nationwide concert tour that combines his best-known songs with fresh material from his latest EP, Here to Stay. The eight-city tour begins in eMalahleni on October 17, 2026, and runs until March 2027.

Independent Career Inspires New Tour

The upcoming concerts represent a new phase in Vusi Nova’s career, giving him greater control over how he performs and connects with his audience. Organised by Nova Sounds, the tour is his first national concert series since becoming an independent artist. The singer said he wanted to bring live music back to communities rather than rely mainly on festival appearances, where performers often have less than an hour on stage. The planned shows will give him more time to share his catalogue with fans who have followed his journey over the years.

Revisiting the Album That Changed His Career

The tour also recognises the impact of Naninina, the album that helped establish Vusi Nova as a prominent voice in South African music. Ten years after its release, the singer is using the milestone to reconnect with the songs and listeners that have shaped his career. He explained that releasing Here to Stay alongside the anniversary was intentional. By pairing new music with a celebration of his earlier work, he hopes to honour his musical roots while showing how his sound and outlook have developed.

New EP Reflects His Purpose

Tracks from Here to Stay, including “Thandeka” and the title song, will feature alongside familiar favourites during the tour. The project reflects the singer’s continued focus on emotionally driven music and his desire to leave a lasting contribution through his art. Vusi Nova said he now views music as a way to share love and create something that will endure beyond his lifetime. He believes the songs he leaves behind will carry his name and message forward.

Vulnerability Keeps Fans Connected

The singer credits his willingness to draw from personal experiences for the connection audiences have formed with his music. His songwriting often explores relationships, emotional struggles and the process of healing, themes he believes listeners recognise in their own lives. He said revisiting older songs allows him to remember the experiences behind them while viewing those moments through the perspective he has gained with age. That growth, he added, has brought greater wisdom and maturity to both his life and his music.

Building Beyond the Music

After 15 years in the industry, Vusi Nova said he has learnt that a successful music career requires more than creating songs. He now places greater emphasis on understanding the business, building financial security for his family and sharing his experience to help others pursue their ambitions. He also expressed gratitude for the loyalty and trust listeners have shown him throughout his career, describing their continued support as a blessing.
