Salah

Mohamed Salah has confirmed he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the current season, bringing an end to his long and successful spell at the club.

The Egyptian forward shared the announcement in a video message, describing it as the beginning of his farewell. Despite signing a contract extension in 2025, both player and club have now agreed to part ways, with Salah expected to depart as a free agent.

This season has proven challenging for the 33-year-old, with his goal tally lower than usual compared to previous campaigns. Reports of tensions with head coach Arne Slot also added to speculation about his future earlier in the season.

Since joining from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has played a major role in Liverpool’s success, helping the team secure multiple major trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League. He has also become one of the club’s all-time top scorers.

Reflecting on his journey, Salah expressed deep appreciation for the club, the city, and its supporters, saying his time at Anfield has been unforgettable both on and off the pitch. He credited fans and teammates for standing by him through both successful and difficult moments.

Liverpool have acknowledged his contribution, describing his time at the club as remarkable and confirming plans to properly celebrate his legacy. With several important matches still ahead, Salah is expected to remain focused on finishing the season strongly before his departure.
