Shamiso Mosaka Confirms Romance With DJ Speedsta: ‘Taken and Unavailable’

Media personality Shamiso Mosaka has officially confirmed her relationship with DJ and radio host DJ Speedsta, putting months of speculation and online rumours to rest.

The confirmation came during a recent episode of the podcast “Read The Room”, where Mosaka appeared alongside Londie London and Phil Mpela. When directly asked about her relationship status, she did not hold back.

“I’m very much dating, very much in a relationship, very much basically living together. I’m with him every day,” she said, adding: “My status is ‘taken’, ‘unavailable’.”

For months, fans had speculated about the pair after noticing subtle hints, public appearances, and social media posts that suggested they were more than just friends.

The relationship had already been widely assumed online, but this marks the first time Mosaka has publicly confirmed it.

The romance also attracted attention due to DJ Speedsta’s previous relationship with content creator Lungile Thabethe, with whom he shares a child. Their reported separation had sparked online discussion after signs of a breakup surfaced, including reports of their shared home being listed.

As rumours linking Mosaka and Speedsta grew, some social media users accused Mosaka of being involved while he was still in a relationship. She has strongly denied those claims, stating that she has never been involved with someone who is already taken.

“I’ve never stolen anyone’s man in my entire life. If I’m ever with someone, best believe I found them single,” she previously said in an interview.

She added that she does not believe in starting relationships under complicated circumstances, emphasising that she avoids situations that could cause harm or overlap with existing relationships.

With the public confirmation now out, the pair have moved from speculation to one of the most talked-about celebrity relationships in South Africa’s entertainment scene.
