Funke Akindele is a well–known actress and filmmaker from Nigeria who has been active in the film industry since 1994. She has made significant contributions to Nollywood, which is an African film–making industry based in the country of Nigeria. Because of the fame that follows the popular actress, she has also decided not to go to church services anymore.
In a video that was posted on Snap Chat, Akindele was at home preparing breakfast and getting her kids ready to leave for church, but during the video she also said she would not attend church in person anymore.
Akindele said that the reason why she will not go to church anymore is because every time she does, the attention is placed on taking pictures of her instead of having a private and peaceful relationship with God.
“Don‘t even ask me if I am going to church again because I won‘t“, Akindele said, “when I go to church people take pictures of me instead of worshipping God“.
In addition to her comments about not going to church anymore, the actress also had to clear the air regarding a viral video that suggested that she had purposely and intentionally snubbed Nigerian fuji singer Wasiu Pasuma at an event.
