Miley Cyrus marked a major career milestone on May 22 after officially receiving a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. The emotional ceremony celebrated the Grammy-winning singer’s impact on music and entertainment, with family, friends and fellow celebrities gathering to honour her achievement.
Adding an extra special touch to the occasion was a heartfelt congratulatory gesture from Beyoncé, Cyrus’s collaborator on the hit track “II Most Wanted” from the album Cowboy Carter. Ahead of the ceremony, Beyoncé reportedly sent Cyrus a luxurious bouquet of white roses accompanied by a handwritten note.
The message cleverly referenced Cyrus’s global hit song Flowers, reading: “I know my shotgun rider can buy her own flowers but here you go, congratulations for the star it’s so well deserved.” The note also nodded to the pair’s duet “II Most Wanted,” further highlighting the strong musical connection between the two artists.
The floral tribute continues a growing tradition from Beyoncé, who frequently sends elegant white rose arrangements to celebrate fellow musicians and creatives. Previous recipients reportedly include Tyla, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Victoria Monét and Coco Jones.
During her emotional acceptance speech, Cyrus thanked her family, collaborators and supporters for standing beside her throughout her journey in the entertainment industry. Surrounded by loved ones including her mother Tish Cyrus, sister Brandi Cyrus and fiancé Maxx Morando, the singer reflected on the permanence of the honour, describing the star as “an accumulation of devotion”.
The recognition makes Cyrus one of the latest entertainers to receive a place on the iconic Hollywood boulevard, cementing her legacy as one of pop culture’s most influential stars of her generation.
