Prince Kaybee says ‘Cassper will never get to my level’ as he slams rapper’s fitness and artistry
The long-running feud between South African music stars Prince Kaybee and Cassper Nyovest has flared up again, with Prince Kaybee taking aim at both the rapper’s music career and fitness levels.
Speaking during an interview on YFM with hosts Ayanda MVP and Sinaye Kotobe, the DJ did not hold back when discussing his rival.
‘Cassper will never get to my level’
Addressing the possibility of a boxing match with Cassper Nyovest, Prince Kaybee said the fight is unlikely to happen because the financial offer made to him was too low.
“I doubt that will ever happen,” he said.
“I saw the email from his team; they were offering like half a mil (R500,000). I’m not going to train for half a million; they must give me like R3 million maybe.”
The producer also claimed that there was no comparison between their physical abilities.
“Fitness-wise, Cassper will never get to my level, unfortunately. We are not even the same weight, size.”
Questions Cassper’s artistry
During the interview, Prince Kaybee also dismissed Cassper Nyovest’s musical success, suggesting that the rapper’s popularity is more about personality and marketing than genuine artistry.
He described Nyovest as more of a “gimmick” than a true musician, adding another chapter to the long-standing rivalry between the two stars.
A personal tragedy changed his life
Away from the controversy, Prince Kaybee opened up about the heartbreaking loss of his mother, revealing that her death inspired his dedication to health and fitness.
“I lost my mom a year ago. My mom was overweight; she actually died in my arms. It was a crazy experience,” he said.
He explained that the experience motivated him to become more involved in promoting healthier lifestyles and weight loss.
One meal a day and an intense fitness routine
The DJ also revealed that he only eats one meal a day and credits part of his muscular physique to genetics.
“I think it is just genetics in most cases,” he explained.
Despite his demanding music career, Prince Kaybee said he no longer embraces the late-night club lifestyle.
“Now I don’t leave the club around 4am, guys. I’m not about that life.”
Looking ahead
Prince Kaybee also shared plans to continue his annual cycling challenge after completing a 600km ride from Midrand to Durban over three days.
He said the event would become an annual challenge and eventually be open to anyone who wants to participate.
For now, however, it is his latest comments about Cassper Nyovest that have once again set social media buzzing.
