The global Miss Supranational competition will take place on July 31 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheatre in Nowy Sącz, Poland, where contestants from around the world will compete for the international crown currently held by Brazil’s Eduarda Braum.

For Benting, the title represents more than a pageant victory. The 30-year-old has built a reputation for advocating women’s empowerment and youth development through her initiative, Beauty in Action, which focuses on mentorship programmes, skills development and community outreach opportunities for underserved young people.

Benting has also spoken openly about how her multicultural heritage shaped her values and identity. With South African Coloured roots and Chinese ancestry in her family, she says diversity, inclusion and community empowerment remain central to her mission.

Speaking after her crowning, Benting described the achievement as one of the proudest moments of her life, saying she hopes her journey inspires young South African women to believe in their own potential regardless of their background.

African Beauty International CEO Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala praised Benting for her authenticity, leadership qualities and strong sense of purpose, saying she has the ability to make a meaningful impact both on and off the international stage.

Miss African Beauty South Africa also unveiled its Top 20 finalists for 2026, with more contestants expected to be selected to represent the country at other major international pageants including Miss World South Africa and Miss Universe South Africa.
