Spain star set to join Barca from Manchester City
Spain midfielder Rodri has arrived in Barcelona to complete his move from Manchester City to the La Liga champions.
Barcelona have agreed a deal worth around £65m for the 30-year-old, who is expected to sign a four-year contract.
‘A dream’
Rodri said joining Barcelona was a lifelong ambition and that he was excited to begin working with his new teammates.
He also said he hopes to win the Champions League and other major trophies with the club.
Trophy-laden City spell
Rodri leaves Manchester City after seven seasons and 12 major trophies, including four Premier League titles and the Champions League.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner made 298 appearances for City after joining from Atletico Madrid in 2019.
World Cup success
After recovering from injury problems, Rodri returned to his best form at this summer’s World Cup, helping Spain win the tournament and being named player of the competition.
