Barely two weeks after Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, the law firm representing Sophia Momodu cautioned singer Davido and his supporters against alleged intimidation and harassment, the firm has now issued the artiste a formal pre-action notice.
The development stems from an ongoing child custody dispute between Momodu and the “Timelines” hitmaker. Tensions reportedly escalated following a heated courtroom exchange between Davido and one of the firm’s partners, Ebelechukwu Enedah.
Davido alleged that the confrontation occurred after Ms. Enedah referenced his late son, Ifeanyi, during cross-examination proceedings. The singer later took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to publicly call out the lawyer over the remark.
In response, Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors strongly condemned Davido’s comments about Mrs. Enedah, describing them as inappropriate and reiterating their commitment to pursuing justice strictly within the bounds of the law. The firm warned against what it described as attempts to intimidate or harass its legal team.
A pre-action notice typically signals the intention to commence legal proceedings if certain demands are not met, potentially setting the stage for further litigation.
The custody case continues to draw public attention, with supporters of both parties closely monitoring developments as the legal battle unfolds.
