Nigerian rapper and singer Ice Prince Zamani has disclosed that his habit of using cannabis for a long time has likely cost him as much as N340 million (UDS250,000) which is the amount he spent on one single supplier from 2020 to 2026.
On the Black Box Podcast, Panshak Zamani was very transparent about his ways of spending, admitting that marijuana consumption on his part became too expensive and difficult to sustain over time.
“Between 2020 and 2026, I have spent N340 million on weed from only one dealer, ” he revealed Still emphasizing that this sum excludes purchases from other dealers from cities such as Abuja Jos Ghana, and London.
The artist further mentioned that the dealer was located in his neighborhood in Lagos, and so the access was very frequent and consistent over the years.
Ice Prince explained that the disclosure made it clearer why smoking was something that he gave up in the end, likening the habit to an extreme financial drain on his life.
Besides that, the musician made it known that the reason why he quit doing cannabis and drinking alcohol was because he was going through a period of self-renewal, which also included him making changes to his ways, shedding off some weight, and working more on his interior self.
Alongside that, he instructed that he has also turned celibate for a while as the alterations mirror a more profound pledge to self-control and personal growth.
Ice Prince became popular in the early 2010s with songs like Oleku and Aboki, through which he made a name for himself as one of the most significant hip-hop voices in Nigeria and has managed to stay relevant in the music industry.
