MAFS Mzansi season 3 couples reunite to face unresolved issues
The couples from Married at First Sight Mzansi season three are returning for a two-part reunion to revisit their relationships, confront unresolved issues and reveal where they stand after filming.
Couples return for reunion
After 13 weeks of weddings, relationship challenges and emotional decisions, the season three couples are coming together again for the reunion, hosted by actress Lerato Mvelase.
Two-part reunion airs on Mzansi Magic
The first reunion episode aired on Mzansi Magic, channel 161, with the second episode scheduled for Sunday, October 11. The reunion will focus on the couples’ experiences during the experiment and what happened after filming ended.
Prince and Esethu recommit
Prince and Esethu were the only couple to recommit to their relationship at the final ceremony. In an emotional moment, Prince got down on one knee and proposed to Esethu again, and she accepted.
Lesiba and Matshediso separate
Lesiba and Matshediso reached a different decision. Although Lesiba was ready to continue their marriage, Matshediso chose to walk away.
She explained that their relationship had changed after they moved out of the shared apartments and questioned whether their connection could survive outside the experiment.
Hlulani and Nompumelelo end marriage
Hlulani and Nompumelelo also decided not to recommit, ending their marriage after facing difficulties involving trust, honesty and their emotional connection.
Obren and Laurinda already separated
Obren and Laurinda had ended their marriage earlier in the season, meaning their relationship had already concluded before the final recommitment ceremony.
Experts join reunion discussions
Mvelase will be joined by the show’s experts, Thabang Mashigo, Pastor Xolani Hlitana, Dr Mpume Zenda and Bakhe Dlamini.
The discussions will give the couples an opportunity to revisit key moments from the experiment, address tensions and explain how their relationships have developed since filming ended.
More unseen footage coming
Fans will also get additional content through Married at First Sight Uncut, which is scheduled to premiere on Friday, October 30, at 8pm.
The programme will feature unseen footage, behind-the-scenes moments and additional material from the couples’ experiences.
Couples face unresolved questions
Although the experiment has ended, the reunion will allow the participants to reflect on their decisions and address issues that remained unresolved after the final ceremony.
