Sandra Okunzuwa says onscreen movie kiss ended her past relationship

Sandra Okunzuwa has opened up about how an onscreen kiss in a movie led to the end of one of her past relationships.

Speaking on the BTS Reality podcast, the Nollywood actress revealed that her ex-boyfriend broke up with her after someone sent him a clip from a film where she kissed a fellow actor.

Okunzuwa explained that many people misunderstand romantic scenes in movies, stressing that actors rarely enjoy such moments because of the intense filming environment.

According to her, movie sets are often crowded with crew members while directors continuously give instructions during filming, making it difficult for actors to feel emotionally connected during intimate scenes.

She added that if filmmakers could successfully remove kissing scenes from movies without affecting storytelling, she would support the idea, noting that such scenes sometimes create tension in actors’ personal relationships.

The actress admitted that while she initially viewed her ex-boyfriend’s reaction as insecurity, she now understands why some people may struggle to date actors.

Okunzuwa also urged the public to remember that actors are simply playing characters on screen and that their performances should not be confused with real life.

She emphasised the importance of separating professional acting roles from personal relationships, adding that many actors face misunderstandings because audiences and partners sometimes blur that line.
