Residential Buildings Hit

Guided aerial bombs struck residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia on Saturday, 10 October, leaving apartments damaged and vehicles mangled in the streets. Smoke rose over the city as emergency crews searched through rubble and helped survivors escape. Ambulances transported injured residents to hospitals while rescue workers continued searching damaged buildings for people who might still be trapped.

Attacks Spread Across Ukraine

The bombardment came amid an escalation in Russian attacks that have killed more than 60 people across Ukraine in four days, according to the report. Missile strikes also hit Kyiv on Saturday, injuring four people, the capital’s mayor said. The latest attacks have intensified concerns over civilian safety as residential areas and critical infrastructure remain exposed to bombardment.

Diesel Deal Raises Concerns

The strikes followed US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a deal to purchase Russian diesel. Ukrainian officials warned that renewed revenue from Russian fuel exports could help Moscow finance its ongoing military campaign. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of taking advantage of any easing of economic pressure to continue its attacks against Ukraine.

War Continues With Little Front-Line Movement

More than four years after Russia launched its full-scale invasion, the conflict continues with limited movement along the front line. The latest bombardment highlights the ongoing toll on civilians as attacks intensify across several Ukrainian cities.
